15:17: Quotes from the finishers
Chris McCormack: Swimming was horrible, ich lost my googles. And on the bike I didnÄt feel good from begining up to kilometer 70. Thomas then pushed me do give my very best on the bike. He's a legend. The last 10 kilometers of running were the hardest in my carrer so far. When I started I couldn't feel my legs. But that's just how it is when you try to break a record.Probably conditions were harsher today than they were on the day of the record race ten years ago. Maybe next year.I am convinced that it is possible to break that record.

15:19 - Joanna Lawn comes in second
Last year's winner Joanna Lawn finishes second in 08:58:25 and stayed under 9 hours too.In the end she had to surrender to an extraordinary runner.

15:34 - Thomas Hellriegel:
"It was pretty windy today and therefore hard to ride.My aim was put some distance between me and the persuers while on the bike, because I knew I can't run that fast.Up to kilometer 34 I was in second place, but then my legs just shut down. Everything just shut down.I was already fearing for my german champion title."

15:35 - Top four women finish
Belinda Granger finished third in 9:07:56. Erika Csomor came fourth in 9:09:32.

15:43 - Yvonne van Vlerken full of endorphins
She's in love and with feelings like that running was like a walk in the clouds.

Yvonne van Vlerken:
"I train with my boyfriend Thomas Vonach.Yesterday he gave me a lot of tips.On the bike I started out slow. I didn't feel any pain. Not in the begining and not in the end. I can't believe it was the second fastest time ever over the Ironman-distance."

Markus Forster:
"Swimming really wasn't great today. The first hour on the bike wasn't so good neither. I wasn't able to find my rhythm. But then it turned out to be a real good race. And this is my new personal best time."
